Knowledge Production
At the Coexistence Laboratory, we believe in the power of experience as a raw material for the production of knowledge.
Knowledge to be shared and to consolidate perceptions and learning, as well as to inspire new actions that transform reality and collaborate to change paradigms.
An invitation to reflection and the construction of a repertoire that expands awareness about oneself, about other people, about relationships, about coexistence...

Chocolate
A young woman, along with her daughter, tries to adapt to a new arrival in a small (fictional) town in France, called Lansquenet-sous-Tannes. He then opens the Maya chocolate shop, and little by little he gains the trust of the local population.
Memories Giver
A small community lives in a seemingly ideal world, without disease or war, but also without feelings. For this, a person is responsible for storing these memories, in order to spare the other inhabitants from suffering and also to guide them with his wisdom. From time to time this task changes hands and now it's up to a young man, who has to undergo hard training to prove himself worthy of this task.
Unbelievable
A young woman is accused of making a false report of rape. Years later, two investigators follow evidence that may finally reveal the truth.
Judgment
Robbery, murder and drug trafficking are chapters in the lives of teenagers who end up in childhood and youth courts in Brazil.
In Juízo, filmmaker Maria Augusta Ramos records the process between the arrest of the offender and the moment he goes to trial.
The scenes were made based on cases that occurred in Rio de Janeiro. As juvenile offenders are not allowed in front of the cameras, the solution found was to use actors for these sequences. The scenes in which the magistrates appear, however, are all real.
The interpreters are teenagers who live in conditions similar to those of the accused. One of the points addressed in the documentary is what should be done when the accused is a teenager. The film reveals the difficulty and unpreparedness of the truncated Brazilian justice to deal with the matter.
Justice
The film Justiça is a documentary recorded almost entirely inside the Court of Justice of Rio de Janeiro, in which with a “still” camera
and observer exposes the daily life of the defendants, the public defender's office, the prosecutor's office, the police and the judges.
eyes that condemn
Five Harlem teenagers live a nightmare after being wrongly accused of a brutal attack in Central Park.
Based on a true story.
Guardians origin
Based on the book series “The Guardians of Childhood” by William Joyce.
Santa Claus, Easter Bunny and Tooth Fairy team up to save the world from the evil Boogeyman.
He intends to start an age of darkness that will destroy every child's dream.
The Secret of Your Eyes
After working his entire life in a Criminal Court, Benjamín Espósito retires. His free time allows him to fulfill a long-delayed dream: to write a novel based on an event he had lived years before. In 1974, he was tasked with investigating a violent murder.
Argentina was entering a cycle of extreme political violence and the investigation put his life at risk. By excavating old traumas, Benjamín confronts the intense romance he had with his former boss, as well as past decisions and mistakes.
Over time, the memories end up transforming her life again.
With no mercy
No prison population grows at the speed of the Brazilian population, which is already the third largest in the world. The documentary Sem Pena descends into the hell of life in Brazilian prisons, to expose the bowels of the country's justice system, demonstrating how slowness, prejudice and the culture of fear only increase violence and the existing social abyss.
